General Summary 

Full-Time Benefit Eligible

Sign-On Bonus: $7,500

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Night Shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every other weekend and observed holiday 

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

Henry Ford St John Hospital’s 4 East Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) unit is a 24-bed unit specializing in geriatric care as well as some stroke cases of all ages. Our nurses have a typical patient ratio of 5:1, and the support of Licensed Practical Nurses, Nurse Interns and Patient Care Technicians on a daily basis.  We operate with a team mentality, and enjoy building relationships with our patients throughout their stay (typically a minimum of 3 days).
