Physicist (PhD) for AI Model Training

Role Overview

Apply advanced physics expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through accurate, scientifically rigorous real-world input. This remote contract opportunity is suited to professionals who enjoy analytical work and can clearly explain complex physics concepts in writing and conversation. Previous AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate real-world physics data, concepts, and scenarios for AI training.
• Create, review, and refine advanced physics technical content and problem sets.
• Provide scientific feedback on complex questions and model outputs to support technical accuracy and relevance.
• Translate intricate physics theories and phenomena into accessible explanations for AI interpretation.
• Work with project stakeholders to align deliverables with changing project objectives.
• Support training-data quality assurance by identifying gaps and recommending improvements.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, PhD, in Physics from an accredited institution.
• Extensive advanced physical-sciences background, including strong theoretical and applied physics foundations.
• Advanced physics knowledge, scientific data-analysis skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability relevant to scientific research.
• Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific topics clearly.
• Experience developing or reviewing physics educational or technical materials.
• Adaptability to evolving requirements and a proactive approach to new challenges.
• Interest or familiarity with AI, data science, or digital training environments is beneficial but not required.

Work Terms

• Remote, independent contractor engagement.
• Work is task-based, with varying completion time depending on individual experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a required minimum number of task submissions each week.
• Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing required onboarding.

Compensation

• Advertised compensation is $80 to $90 per hour.
• Payment is output-based and issued per task that meets project specifications.
