Associate Designer - Denim

Associate Designer – Denim We are seeking an Associate Designer, Denim to support the Denim Design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for denim design, wash and fabrication development, accurate sketching skills, and the ability to generate and refine creative concepts efficiently. Reporting to the Head of Design and Senior Designer, this role will play a critical part in bringing denim collections to life from concept through production. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of denim garment construction, fit, pattern development, washes, and technical specifications, with the ability to identify and resolve issues throughout the product development process. Key Responsibilities Create accurate CADs, technical sketches, and design presentations for denim categories. Support seasonal design development through trend research, market analysis, and concept execution. Develop and maintain detailed technical packages, including construction details, measurements, and wash specifications. Manage denim development from prototype through production approval. Review samples, evaluate fit, construction, and wash execution, and provide detailed comments and corrections. Partner closely with design, product development, technical design, and sourcing teams to ensure design intent is maintained. Assist in fabric, trim, wash, and color development for seasonal collections. Maintain line sheets and product information within PLM systems. Support seasonal calendars and ensure deadlines are met throughout the development process. Preferred Qualifications Strong knowledge of denim design, garment construction, fit, and wash development. Experience creating technical packages, specifications, and sample comments. Understanding of denim fabrics, finishes, laundries, and manufacturing processes. Ability to manage multiple styles and development timelines simultaneously. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience in contemporary, premium, or mass‑market denim apparel preferred. Salary $70,000-$75,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr SBH Fashion
