Position: Endoscopy RN - Variable Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Endoscopy RN to join our team for a variable shift position. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in the pre-operative, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and procedural areas. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar setting.

Position Details

• Shift: Variable, with four (9-hour) day shifts scheduled between Monday and Friday. Start times vary based on daily assignments.
• Pre-op Hours: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• PACU Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• Procedure RN Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call Requirements: One overnight call shift per week, beginning at the end of your workday until 7:00 AM. If you are not scheduled to work the next day, call begins at 5:00 PM. Weekend call shifts (two shifts within a six-week period) are also required.

This facility is a prestigious 815-bed acute care hospital recognized as a regional referral center for advanced care, including the only Level II trauma center in the area. The hospital has established itself as a leader in various specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, women's services, and behavioral health.

Unit Information

• Pre-OP Beds: 8
• PACU Beds: 6
• Procedure Rooms: 4
• Staff Size: Variable, typically between 12-16 based on case volumes.
• Equipment: Includes Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook; EMR system: Cerner.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• Required Skills: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and an active NC or Compact State Nursing License.
• Preferred Skills: Experience in pediatric endoscopy, pulmonary endoscopy, and endoscopy tech experience.

Typical Procedures Performed

Procedures include, but are not limited to:

• Adult EGD, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, Navigational Bronchoscopy, Esophageal/Duodenal/Colonic/Axios Stent Placements, PEG Placement, Tracheostomy Placement, and Foreign Body Removal.
• Pediatric EGD, Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy (Age Ranges 1-18).
