Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced ICU RNs for travel assignments at a busy hospital's ICU unit. Responsibilities include providing critical care to adult patients, managing ventilators, administering vasopressors, and performing advanced procedures. The ideal candidate is outgoing, a team player, and holds current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to adult ICU patients in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, intubation, arterial line insertion, and chest tube management.
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, administer vasopressors, and manage other ICU-specific treatments.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with staff and float within the hospital, including PCU and sitter roles as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of ICU experience or 1 year of strong ICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ICU procedures, ventilator management, and administration of critical medications.
• Possess current ACLS certification.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and a team-oriented personality.
• Capable of working scheduled straight nights or a 50/50 shift arrangement.
