Assistant Project Manager - RI - Academic & Public

An Assistant Project Manager in the Construction department will play a key role in supporting project execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met for academic and public projects. This role requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in the construction industry. Design/Build General Contractor (also operates as an OPM firm), based in Warwick RI, is looking for a seasoned APM to join their team! First project is in Providence RI (public building) - APM will be onsite. Their project portfolio includes Public, Corporate, Healthcare, Academic, Historic Renos, & more. Description Onsite in Providence RI Assisting with day‑to‑day project activities Maximizing project efficiency and profitability Performing duties as directed by Senior Management, Project Executive and/or Project Manager Assisting and developing working relationships with team, owner, subcontractors, and vendors Managing and coordinating submittal/procurement & RFI processes Coordinating all Document controls and drawing markups, in accordance with the company SOP Implementing and overseeing the field staffs tracking Coordinating Procore reporting Assisting and coordinating with project closeout Other duties as assigned Profile The right APM has the following qualifications: 3+ years of APM experience Ideally has CM at Risk background Project background in public work Construction related degree Commutable to RI Job Offer Base salary up to $115K Vehicle allowance $500/month + mileage reimbursement (IRS rates) Company cell phone + laptop Gym reimbursement 3 weeks PTO + sick days + holidays + 2 floating holidays + birthday off Summer hours on Fridays - office closed at 3pm (memorial day‑labor day) Opportunity to be part of a collaborative, employee‑first, reputable firm Exposure to both Construction Management at Risk + OPM work Gain exposure to large-scale projects up to $50M.
