Counseling and Psychological Services: Counseling & Psychological Services is home to an interdisciplinary team of full-time psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors who are fully committed to the success and well-being of our students. The Opportunity : Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is seeking qualified master's-level therapists to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This position reports to an Associate or Assistant Director and provides generalist mental health services to the UCF community, including initial assessment and triage, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, outreach and prevention programming, and consultation with students, faculty, staff, parents, and other stakeholders. The position also includes supervision and training of master's-level trainees. UCF is seeking to fill multiple roles. Must be licensed or license eligible as a mental health counselor, social worker or marriage and family therapist in the State of Florida and must maintain license. If not licensed, must obtain licensure in Florida no later than 2.5 years from date of hire.

- Provide short-term, trauma-informed mental health services to a diverse population of currently enrolled UCF students through in-person and tele-mental health modalities, including initial assessment, clinical consultation, triage, crisis intervention, brief psychotherapy, and follow-up care. In extenuating circumstances, services may extend to non-enrolled/non-students and other University community members.
- Deliver individual counseling and group counseling, including both psychoeducational and process-oriented groups.
- Complete and maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical records in compliance with CAPS policies and procedures, Florida state laws, and professional ethical standards.
- Perform additional professional or clinical services consistent with individual skills, training, interests, and the needs of CAPS.
- Provide crisis intervention, management, and follow-up services, including assessing risk and initiating and authorizing involuntary examinations (Baker Act) in accordance with Florida Statute 394.463, Florida Mental Health Act.
- Support the UCF community during campus-wide crises, postvention activities, or other critical incidents as needed.
- Provide peer consultation, as well as consultation to university faculty, staff, administrators, campus organizations, and parents regarding student concerns and the campus environment.
- Participate in collaborative care as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, coordinating services with other campus and community professionals as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with campus departments and division units that support student wellness, mental health, and personal development.
- Serve as a designated liaison or coordinator for specific CAPS programming areas or campus units, consistent with professional interests and level of training, as assigned by the Director, Associate Director(s), or Assistant Director(s).
- Design, implement, and deliver prevention, outreach, psychoeducational, and postvention programs and workshops addressing developmental, preventative, and psychological topics.
- Provide outreach and programming to students, faculty, staff, campus organizations, academic departments, and University division units to promote mental health awareness and student well-being.
- Provide training seminars and clinical supervision to CAPS graduate trainees in accordance with ethical guidelines, Florida state laws, and CAPS policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision to graduate students participating in the CAPS training program and engage in activities required to qualify for supervision of master's-level trainees.
- Serve on CAPS, Student Success and Well-Being (SSWB), and/or University committees, councils, and work groups.
- Actively participate in regional, state, and national professional organizations relevant to counseling, psychology, and higher education mental health services.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and scholarly or training activities necessary to obtain, maintain, and sustain Florida licensure and professional competence.
- Perform other clinical, administrative, or professional duties as assigned by the Counseling and Psychological Services Director, Associate Director(s), or Assistant Director(s).

Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in university counseling center or community agency work.
- Experience working with collaborative internal partners.
- Preferred candidate to be licensed or near licensure.
- Experience with leading therapy groups (process and support).
- Experience and expertise in working with eating disorders or other related specializations such as research informed practices, manualized treatments, or other treatment certifications, such as trauma reprocessing skills (i.e. EMDR or ART).
- A case presentation will be requested at an interview request.
- New hires selected for this position at the University of Central Florida can expect to be offered the base salary amount of $61,500 for the role. Compensation is determined in alignment with UCF's pay structure and internal equity considerations.
