Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid South Carolina RN or Compact RN license, and 2-3 years of recent telemetry or stepdown experience. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required. Recommended skills include proficiency in electrocardiogram interpretation, rapid response to adverse symptoms, IV therapy, and strong communication. Experience with telemetry protocols and EMR systems is valued.
