Amber Water Pros Purchasing and Inventory Specialist Location: Tully, NY | Full-time, in person | Occasional travel to other Amber Water Pros locations in Upstate New York. Pay: $52,000 - $66,000 per year, based on experience Keep field teams supplied and make the systems behind them better If you enjoy organizing inventory, working with vendors, and improving how materials move, this role gives you ownership of work that matters every day. You'll help an established, growing company support its field teams across multiple Upstate New York locations. Amber Water Pros has served New York customers since 1968. We provide well drilling, pump, water treatment, and related water system services. As our operations grow, dependable purchasing and accurate inventory help our teams deliver that work. About the role As our Purchasing and Inventory Specialist, you'll manage day-to-day purchasing and help maintain accurate inventory across company locations. You'll work with field teams, operations, management, and suppliers to make sure materials are available when needed. You'll also have the opportunity to improve purchasing and inventory procedures as the company grows. Key responsibilities Purchase materials, equipment, parts, and supplies for company operations. Source products, compare pricing, place purchase orders, and coordinate deliveries. Monitor inventory across multiple locations and anticipate upcoming material needs. Set and maintain appropriate stock levels and reorder points. Keep inventory records accurate in company software. Investigate shortages, discrepancies, excess stock, and opportunities to reduce waste. Coordinate with field and operations teams so they have the materials they need. Build supplier relationships and assist with pricing and purchasing agreements. Track inventory, purchasing trends, and material costs using Excel and inventory software. Help standardize and improve purchasing and inventory procedures across locations. Qualifications What you'll need: Experience with purchasing, inventory control, procurement, or a related hands-on operations role. Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. Ability to work with suppliers, office staff, managers, and field teams. Comfort using Excel and inventory management software to maintain records and review data. Ability to work in person in Tully and travel between company locations when needed. Preferred Three or more years of purchasing or inventory management experience. Experience managing inventory across multiple locations. Experience with replenishment, forecasting, reorder processes, or ERP systems. Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, home services, or wholesale supply. An associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Relevant hands-on experience is valued. Pay and benefits W-2 employment. Pay: $52,000 - $66,000 per year, based on experience Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation in addition to base salary. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
