Blending Operator | Food Manufactoring

General Description: The blending operator is responsible for weighing, verifying, and dumping product into blending machinery. Additionally, the blending operator will be responsible for cleaning their work area, communicating with the quality and warehouse team, and verifying materials before blending. Safety is important, as the candidate will be lifting heavy bags and using tools (knives, zip tie cutters, etc.) to open bags before dumping.
- Following Management, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
- Weighing and blending ingredients following procedures.
- Filling out paperwork properly.
- Returning completed weight log and blend log to Quality Technician after completing each batch.
- Proper communication with Quality Technician and Management.
- Clean and sanitize blending areas after blending completion
Required Experience/ Knowledge and Physical Demands: - Work standing or walking for most working shifts
- Ability to lift up at least 55 lbs.
- Basic math and English literacy
- High level of organizational skills
- Work with cleaning materials and cleaning agents.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching around equipment.
- Work well with hands, fingers, and wrists as candidate will be moving and working with packets, jars, and other packaging form factors.
