If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!The practice of mammography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Independently performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam.Performs mammography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Mammography Practice Standards and the ASRT Code of Ethics.Performs interventional breast imaging procedures according to departmental procedures and policies and under the direction of a radiologist and Medical Director, Breast ImagingUnderstands and adheres to departmental exam protocolsActively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the APIE modelPerforms equipment quality control per protocols at specified intervals in order to assure accurate performance of equipment and meet regulatory requirementsInterviews and schedules patients for interventional breast procedures, explains procedures, and assures that the patient’s questions and needs are metSuccessful completion of an accredited Radiological Technologist program, Required5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, RequiredExperience with biopsy procedures specifically stereotactic and ultrasound is strongly preferredBoard of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Required.Certified by ARRT in Mammography, RequiredAbility to obtain BLS during employmentHealth, dental, prescription, and vision coverage for full-time & part-time employeesShort term, long term disability, Accident insurance, & life insuranceTuition ReimbursementReferral bonusesAccrued earned time for full-time & part-time employees403b Retirement plans, with generous employer contributionsAnd more!$15,000 sign on bonus eligible
