Description

The coordinator position will be responsible for the following:

Duties may include but are not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Using applicable software programs and workflows to
  1. reconcile charges
  2. monitor Medicare caps
  3. apply occurrence codes
  4. open accounts and
  5. send business-related correspondence
• Using applicable software programs and workflows
  1. receive new patient referrals
  2. schedules patients for therapy over the telephone in a timely manner
  3. Work closely with the authorization team to monitor authorizations are up to date
• Schedules therapy patients for appointments coordinating staff availability and schedules accordingly.
• Performs related to clerical work such as typing filing faxing scanning and sorting mail distribution.
• Ensure chart audit on discharged patients is up to date and needed documents are in the EMR.
• Provides administrative and managerial support when needed.
• Manages stocks and orders office and clinical supplies to ensure adequate supply on hand at all times.
• Answers assists and directs incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner
• Check in and greet all patients in the therapy department for appointment in a professional and courteous manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.

• Understand and follow safe work practices.
• Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience:
  • Minimum Required Experience: none
  • Preferred Experience: 2 years in service related field

• Education:
  • Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma

• Licenses:
  • Minimum Required Licenses: none

• Certifications:
  • Minimum Required: none
  • Preferred Certifications: BLS
