Busy OB/GYN office seeking a professional and friendly Patient Services Co-Ordinator (Front Desk Receptionist) to join our team in our Marietta location. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. You will greet patients as they arrive, book appointments, answer phone calls, verify insurance and collect payment information.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office, have a cheerful disposition, excellent communication and computer skills, and is capable of multitasking. The Patient Services Co-Ordinator will be based in our Marietta office, but will be responsible for covering our Woodstock office when needed. Candidates will train in Marietta and Woodstock offices.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor and provide an excellent customer experience
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the computer system
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and take care of secretarial needs, i.e. printing and scanning
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Travel to our Woodstock office when coverage is needed
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred. eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Proficient in using phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and other office equipment
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to work independently as well as functioning as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Multi-tasking and being able to stay positive is key!
- Reporting to work, as scheduled and on time, is essential
The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 7:55 am to 5:00 pm (or until the last patient leaves). No weekends or holidays!!!
