FDOT Bridge Inspector / HNTB Inspector II

What We’re Looking For We are seeking an experienced CEI Bridge Inspector for current and future FDOT construction work in Central Florida. Experience with FDOT concrete inspection, drilled shaft, and pile driving experience is a must. HNTB is looking to grow our local CEI inspection team. This position will be based in Celebration, FL and surrounding area. What You’ll Do Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date. Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience. All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements. What We Prefer At least 2 years of verifiable FDOT CEI experience in bridge construction. This position is ideally suited for local candidates in the area above due to the nature of the work. FDOT certifications (ACI Concrete Field Technician, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector I, CTQP Pile Driving, CTQP Drilled Shaft, CTQP Final Estimates I, Intermediate MOT) Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications.
