Location Detail MMH-71 Haynes Street (10627) Sign on bonus eligible POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of a Workflow Coordinator, Manager/Supervisor, or Team Leader, performs or assists in radiographic procedures at a level that does not require direct supervision over technical detail. Performs and assists in a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, good knowledge of anatomy, positioning and a thorough technical knowledge of equipment. Assumes responsibility for a designated area or procedure as may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs all routine radiographic procedures according to department standards, protocols and guidelines required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of Connecticut. Exhibits proficiency in conducting routine radiographic procedures and fluoroscopic exams including gastro-intestinal studies, ERCPs, Arthrography, Hysterosalpingography, Urography and portable X-Ray equipment including C Arm procedures. Provides proper clinical patient care while performing diagnostic procedures. Provides careful critique and assessment over the image quality. Exhibits accuracy in computer documentation. Mentors students in the clinical and ethical aspects of the Radiologic Technologist profession. Maintains stock levels and personal protection equipment of assigned stations. Exhibits constant awareness of infection control standards. Works cooperatively to accomplish a task as a member of the team. Performs miscellaneous duties as may be required. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Board, and have a State of Connecticut License to practice Radiographic technical procedures or receive within 3 months of graduation. Must obtain mandatory CEUs to maintain state licensure. Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire and maintain clinical competency. Experience Fully knowledgeable and capable of performing independently in at least two modalities. Complete working knowledge of principals of physics, anatomy, medical terminology, sterile technique and radiation protection related to radiology practice. Must meet HHC age specific knowledge/skill requirement, annually complete ECHN’s mandatory education program. #J-18808-Ljbffr
