Investment Banking Media & Communications Associate / Vice President - New York

Position Overview Morgan Stanley's Media & Communications Investment Banking Group is seeking an Associate or Vice President located in New York. The successful candidate will work closely with professionals across the firm to deliver high-quality advice to clients and will play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals encouraging creative thinking beyond the numbers. Qualifications 4–7 years of experience within the investment banking industry, or 1–3+ years of post‑MBA experience, with a proven track record working on executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors. Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard. Strong written and verbal communication, client and interpersonal skills. Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines. Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA and/or CFA designation would be an asset. Relevant degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related field or foreign equivalent preferred. Series licensing or will obtain. Compensation Expected base pay rates: Associate $150,000–$225,000 per year; Vice President $250,000–$275,000 per year, at the commencement of employment. Total compensation may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
