Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support a federal cybersecurity awareness and training program. In this role, you will develop visual assets and graphic design products that bring campaign messaging to life across a variety of digital and print channels, including awareness campaign graphics, posters, digital signage, infographics, and employee engagement materials. The ideal candidate is a visual communicator who is passionate about design, receptive to feedback, and committed to producing accessible, high-quality work in support of a mission-driven program.

The Graphic Designer will develop and deliver visual communication products in support of a federal cybersecurity awareness and training program. Working closely with technical writers, project coordinators, and program stakeholders, this individual will design campaign graphics, digital and print assets, infographics, and other visual materials that reinforce campaign themes, support behavioral messaging, and engage a diverse federal workforce audience. All design work must meet federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance requirements, and align with established program branding and visual identity guidelines.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop graphic design and visual communication products in support of monthly cybersecurity awareness campaigns, including campaign graphics, infographics, digital signage assets, kiosk materials, physical posters, and QR code-enabled materials.
• Design visual assets that reinforce campaign themes, anchor messaging, and behavioral objectives, such as awareness of insider threat warning signs and reporting behaviors, in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner.
• Develop intranet homepage tile card graphics and other web-based visual assets for publication on the agency intranet and cyber program page.
• Create paired visual assets aligned to campaign e-blasts, videos, knowledge checks, and poll content to ensure consistent visual messaging across all campaign channels.
• Design infographics and poster content that visually communicate key concepts such as insider threat warning signs, reporting procedures, and employee action steps for display across digital signage, kiosk assets, and physical poster formats.
• Develop graphics in support of cybersecurity training, awareness, communications, and employee engagement activities beyond the monthly campaign cycle, including recognition materials and program-wide visual products.
• Revise and update visual materials based on feedback received from stakeholders, subject matter experts, program managers, and accessibility reviewers throughout the content review and approval process.
• Incorporate 508 compliance feedback into design revisions, ensuring all visual products meet federal accessibility requirements prior to final publication across digital and print channels.
• Collaborate with the TV Studio team and video production staff to support the development of visual elements associated with campaign video production as needed.
• Maintain organized design files and version-controlled asset libraries to support efficient content management, revision tracking, and future campaign reuse.
• Support the development of additional visual products as needed throughout the program year, including recognition materials, event graphics, and other awareness and training program visuals.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator and Technical Writer to ensure visual assets are delivered on schedule and aligned with the campaign communications and engagement schedule.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, or a related role, including demonstrated experience developing design products for both digital and print formats.
• A portfolio demonstrating proficiency in graphic design, including examples of digital graphics, print materials, and/or infographic design.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of experience in graphic design or visual communications, preferably supporting a communications, marketing, awareness, or training program.
• Experience designing visual materials for a federal government or government contracting environment.
• Experience designing accessible materials in compliance with Section 508 or WCAG accessibility standards.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent design tools.
• Demonstrated ability to develop visual assets across a range of formats, including digital graphics, infographics, posters, digital signage, and web-based assets.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to translate written campaign messaging, behavioral objectives, and thematic content into clear, engaging, and visually compelling design products.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and the ability to incorporate accessibility requirements into design products, including appropriate color contrast, alt text readiness, and readable typography.
• Ability to receive and incorporate stakeholder and accessibility feedback through iterative revision cycles while maintaining design quality and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain visual consistency across a large volume of related campaign assets.
• Ability to manage multiple design deliverables simultaneously and meet deadlines in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment alongside writers, coordinators, and program stakeholders.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to discuss design concepts and present creative decisions clearly to non-design audiences.

Security Requirement:

• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Experience designing visual assets for cybersecurity awareness, public health, safety, or other behavior-change communication campaigns.
• Familiarity with federal branding standards, plain language principles, and government communications guidelines.
• Experience designing for Microsoft SharePoint, intranet platforms, or digital signage systems.
• Proficiency in motion graphics, animation, or video graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro, to support video production visual elements.
• Experience designing accessible materials in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA or Section 508 standards.
• Familiarity with print production processes, including preparing print-ready files for physical posters and distributed materials.
• Experience working with or supporting a federal government IT, communications, awareness and training program.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and SharePoint, for design collaboration and asset management in a federal environment.
• Coursework or certification in UX design, accessibility, or visual communications (e.g., Adobe Certified Professional, Google UX Design Certificate).
