Job ID: 114394 Job Summary We are seeking an Assembler who is responsible and accountable for producing high‑quality work to prescribed standards, with a strong focus on continuous improvement to meet commitments on schedule and within budget while following SPC standard practices. The ideal candidate follows all written work instructions with precision and consistency, is a self‑starter with solid decision‑making skills, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals. The role requires resolving most questions and production issues independently, executing non‑routine assignments requiring adaptation of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment, and supporting team success through LEAN events, Six Sigma activities, and action teams. Collaboration across functions—including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales—is essential, and a commitment to safety and contamination control in controlled environments, proper use of PPE, and WHMIS compliance is required. Availability for second shift hours (2:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.) is required. Job Responsibilities Perform advanced‑level assembly functions, including mechanical, electromechanical assemblies, fiber cable work, and printed circuit board sub‑assemblies. Follow process instructions, models, and drawings to assemble and inspect small components using a microscope and specialized tools. Perform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of tools and equipment. Carry out all aspects of inspection as required. Escalate only the most complex items to management while working independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty area such as welding or tool making. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions. Experience with precision assembly and inspection tools. Capacity to work independently and in a team environment. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $18.73 to $26.80 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include annual performance bonuses, overtime pay for non‑exempt employees, and other incentives in accordance with applicable labor categories and collective bargaining agreements.
