Metro Atlanta Chamber Communications: Our MissionMetro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) Communications drives a strategic approach to spotlight the region’s economic strength, talent pipeline, and thriving communities. We amplify the impact of MAC investors and partners, telling the story of metro Atlanta’s growth and innovation.MAC seeks a communications intern to support our efforts in advancing the region’s business ecosystem across the 29-county metropolitan statistical area. This role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic communications while contributing to meaningful work that impacts businesses, communities, and economic growth in metro Atlanta.What You’ll Do:Monitor news, compile coverage, and share summariesTrack specific topics and create insightful reportsGather news and produce a weekly internal newsletterSupport public relations and media outreach by drafting press releases, newsroom posts, letters, and recaps.Draft captions for social media and update website copyContribute to C-level briefing documentsEdit internal documents and newsletters for other MAC teamsLead a self-directed, longer-term intern projectWho We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree or status as a rising senior in journalism, public relations, or communicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of or experience with AP style, with the ability to write in different formatsProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelStrong research, writing, and interviewing skills to produce authentic, creative, and high-quality contentProfessional and positive attitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindsetStrong project and time management skillsOur Purpose, Principles, and Core ValuesMAC’s purpose is to UNLEASH ATLANTA’S AMBITION, and in doing so we embody the following principles:Sit Down Together, Stand Up to ActKnock Down Walls, Open DoorsTake the Lead, Share the CreditSharpen the Focus, Expand the ReachAt MAC we naturally exhibit an unwavering commitment to three core values: to be relentless, smart, and all-in.
