Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Position in a facility located in Fort Smith, AR. This role involves providing patient care on a mixed medical, neuro surgery, and cardiovascular surgery unit. The assigned shift is overnight, with a schedule of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027. The position requires flexibility across multiple units and strong clinical skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as an RN, with at least 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical or related units; certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; current healthcare provider presence in the applicant‘s state; ability to pass medication and math competency exams with a score of 90% or higher before assuming medication responsibilities
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification as CCRN or SCRN; experience with open heart recovery or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is a plus
• Patient Population: Mixed unit, primarily medical patients, including neuro, surgical, and cardiovascular cases
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented, friendly, and cooperative individuals preferred
• Dress Code: Scrubs in black, no hoodies permitted
• Additional Information: All licensed professionals providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test prior to medication administration responsibilities. The unit features 38 beds with a patient ratio of 2/3: 1, equipped with vents, hemodynamic monitoring, and CRRT capability as a plus.
