Position Overview: As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and regulations. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety throughout the construction process. Key Responsibilities: Inspect construction projects at various stages for quality, safety, and compliance with regulations Document findings, maintain detailed inspection reports, and update project files Identify deviations from approved plans and communicate necessary corrections to contractors and project managers Monitor construction schedules and progress to ensure milestones are met Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices Collaborate with engineers, architects, and government officials when needed Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred) 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or a similar role In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Construction Inspector (ACI, ICC, NICET, or similar) Experience with infrastructure, public works, or commercial projects Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Project Management, Strategy/Planning, and General Business Industries Construction, Architecture and Planning, and Building Construction Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at I.K.
