Position Details Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Non-Driving Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: August 17, 2026 Openings: 1 Shift Schedule Friday Monday 6:30 AM 2:30 PM What You'll Do As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by promoting independence, safety, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities include: Assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) Providing direct care, supervision, and support Encouraging participation in daily activities and skill-building programs Supporting individualized care and behavior plans Maintaining a safe, positive, and structured environment Collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional resident care Accurately documenting services and resident progress as required Qualifications Required Experience working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Ideal Candidate Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Dedicated to improving the lives of individuals receiving support services Professional Development DSPs hired permanently by the client are required to obtain: DSP I Certification DSP II Certification Both certifications must be completed within one year of permanent hire, providing a clear pathway for professional growth and advancement. The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
