Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in management, apartment leasing, sales, hospitality, customer service, or a related field
• Excellent telephone and in-person communication skills
• Strong customer service and sales abilities
• Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized
• Professional and courteous appearance and demeanor
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a good driving record
• Willingness to use a personal vehicle for occasional business errands
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, stand or walk for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• General maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective and current customers by telephone and in person, providing assistance with integrity, care, and professionalism
• Listen to customers’ needs and recommend appropriate storage solutions
• Rent storage rooms to new and existing customers
• Tour the facility with customers and explain available room sizes, property features, and benefits
• Complete rental agreements and related move-in documentation accurately
• Collect rent and fees, post payments, and complete daily reports
• Follow up on customer inquiries, reservations, and outstanding accounts
• Maintain a clean and welcoming office and facility
• Perform light facility upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, changing light bulbs, and assisting with minor storage-room door adjustments
• Run occasional business errands as needed
• Complete daily operational tasks accurately and on time
• Help ensure that Pleasant Grove Self Storage operates successfully and provides an exceptional customer experience
