Unit Notes # beds/trauma bays 19 beds with 3 trauma bays Do you have a Fast track No Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? Yes/Not required but if qualified yes Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? Intermixed with ER holds and yes ER RN's manage their holds Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds? Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? We have 2 easy to convert rooms for Psych In-house Security Yes # patients per day 70-95 Ratios 4:01 Required Certifications BLS ACLS, PALS and TNCC Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac, GI, Psych, COPD and respiratory illness Experience or 'Must have' skills ED Physicians/Mid-Levels 1 ED physician and 2 Midlevels Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters Techs EMR Paragon RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? Yes, RT does ABG's, Breathing treatments Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes no monitor techs X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? No transport/Radiology techs transport but portable x-ray and CT is close Phlebotomy or nurse draw Both Shifts & Scheduling 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a Weekend Requirement Every other Holiday Requirement Yes on an A & B rotation Is there a call or standby requirement?
