RN - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will work 4x12 hour shifts during either day/night rotations or nights, with blocked scheduling approved. This position involves a commitment to every other weekend or every third weekend, depending on traveler preference. In the event that critical care units do not require staffing, the nurse may float to progressive care units and the neuroscience unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to patients in the ICU.
• Float between various units including CVTU, Telemetry, ICU, NPCU, MPCU, and SPCU.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment, including telemetry, arterial lines, and ventilators.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer appropriate treatments and medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current RN certification and BLS certification are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU or critical care setting is required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, arterial lines, and ventilators is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for collaboration with the healthcare team.

Shift Details

Shift times are from 1900 to 0730. The nurse will be expected to work a full-time schedule of 4x12 hours per week with the option for blocked scheduling.
