Role Description The Driver Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH, responsible for overseeing a fleet of professional drivers and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. In this role, the Driver Manager monitors driver schedules, routes, and performance, proactively addressing delays, service issues, and safety concerns. The position involves daily communication with drivers and customers, coordinating freight movements, resolving problems, and maintaining strong relationships that support high service standards. The Driver Manager collaborates with dispatch, operations, and safety teams to optimize capacity, meet customer commitments, and uphold company policies and regulatory requirements. This role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, tracking key performance metrics, and providing coaching and support to drivers to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess Operations Management and Transportation Management skills to coordinate driver activities and ensure efficient, compliant freight movement.
• Candidates should possess Fleet Management skills to oversee equipment utilization, maintenance coordination, and resource planning.
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Experience in the trucking or logistics industry, particularly in driver or dispatch management, is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems, route planning tools, and basic office software (e.g., Excel, email, scheduling platforms).
• Ability to analyze operational data, prioritize tasks, make timely decisions, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
