Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Nampa, Idaho.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 14, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 1 year of ICU experience and a compact or ID RN license.Details\n \n Work in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit within an acute care hospital setting\n Care for patients with heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, GI bleeds, strokes (TPA), post-code, and post-surgical complications\n CRRT patients are not assigned to travelers\n Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio\n Titrate drips including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem\n RNs are required to read telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitoring (no dedicated tele techs)\n Charge nurse does not carry a patient assignment; Admin Supervisor and Crisis nurse available on-site 24/7\n One CNA per shift supports the unit\n Hospitalist on-site 24/7 and Intensivist available via telehealth 24/7\n Respiratory Therapists in the ICU 24/7 with vents, high flow, and BiPAP equipment\n Uses EPIC EMR\n 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a\n Weekend rotation as needed, aiming for every other weekend\n Holiday coverage required if needed\n No call or standby requirements\n Floating required to Tele unit (aiming for 1:3 ratio, may take full assignment) and to Meridian and Boise ICUs\n First to float within the unit\n 1 to 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation depending on experience\n No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests accommodated\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (state-issued or compact) required, active at time of consideration\n Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required\n Must be a strong team player\n Experience with EPIC EMR\n Copy of driver's license required for consideration\n Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting including ventilated and critically ill patients\n Work alongside a dedicated care team including on-site hospitalists, telehealth intensivists, and 24/7 respiratory therapy support\n Scrub color is flexible as long as attire is clean and professional\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Permanent employees must be separated from employment for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-747464.
