Loan Forgiveness & Repayment Opportunities • Public Loan Service Forgiveness (PSLF) - As a not-for-profit organization, many physician roles may qualify under the federal PSLF program.
• National Health Services Corps (NHSC) - Physicians at eligible sites may qualify for up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment for a two-year service commitment in designated shortage areas. Competitive and subject to federal approval. • New Mexico Health Professional Loan Repayment Program - State-funded loan repayment of up to $75,000 per year for physicians and practicing in approved shortage areas. Competitive and subject to state approval and funding.
Tax & Education Benefits • New Mexico Physician Tax Credit - Eligible physicians may qualify for up to $10,000 per year in state income tax credits.
• New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship - Covers up to 100% of tuition and required fees for eligible New Mexico residents pursuing certificates or undergraduate degrees at public institutions. - Perform diagnostic studies, electrophysiological mapping, and ablation procedures to assess cardiac function and identify abnormalities.
- Perform the full range of electrophysiology procedures and device implementation.
- Collaborative and team-oriented care with patient-first philosophy
- Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives.
- Encourages individual and team professional growth, development and leadership.
- Performs with the knowledge, skills and abilities to support the execution of the full array of electrophysiology procedures in the clinic/laboratory setting.
- Makes all professional judgments in the cardiac care of patients seen
- Collaborates with colleagues in the management of patients, both in the hospital and outpatient settings
- Manages and oversees the physician/patient relationship
- Participates in system wide health management initiatives
- Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards
- Collaborates with referring and consulting providers to optimize patient experience
- Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops
