Summary:

Presbyterian Hearth & Vascular program is seeking a BC/BE Electrophysiologist to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary Cardiology group of Non-Invasive Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Structural Cardiologists and CT Surgeons. This team plays a prominent role in New Mexicos cardiac care and has a goal of becoming recognized as the premier place for Cardiology care. The electrophysiology team is growing and provides an opportunity for growth, enhancement of skills, and an opportunity to utilize advanced techniques and technology

Job Description:

Practice Highlights:
  • Perform diagnostic studies, electrophysiological mapping, and ablation procedures to assess cardiac function and identify abnormalities.
  • Perform the full range of electrophysiology procedures and device implementation.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented care with patient-first philosophy
  • Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Encourages individual and team professional growth, development and leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs with the knowledge, skills and abilities to support the execution of the full array of electrophysiology procedures in the clinic/laboratory setting.
  • Makes all professional judgments in the cardiac care of patients seen
  • Collaborates with colleagues in the management of patients, both in the hospital and outpatient settings
  • Manages and oversees the physician/patient relationship
  • Participates in system wide health management initiatives
  • Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards
  • Collaborates with referring and consulting providers to optimize patient experience
  • Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops

Loan Forgiveness & Repayment Opportunities

Public Loan Service Forgiveness (PSLF) - As a not-for-profit organization, many physician roles may qualify under the federal PSLF program.


National Health Services Corps (NHSC) - Physicians at eligible sites may qualify for up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment for a two-year service commitment in designated shortage areas. Competitive and subject to federal approval.

New Mexico Health Professional Loan Repayment Program - State-funded loan repayment of up to $75,000 per year for physicians and practicing in approved shortage areas. Competitive and subject to state approval and funding.


Tax & Education Benefits

New Mexico Physician Tax Credit - Eligible physicians may qualify for up to $10,000 per year in state income tax credits.


New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship - Covers up to 100% of tuition and required fees for eligible New Mexico residents pursuing certificates or undergraduate degrees at public institutions.
