Accountant / Admin Coordinator

BlueAcorn is a wholesale distributor headquartered in Apex, NC, connecting leading consumer electronics and pet care brands with major U.S. retailers including Best Buy, Target, Home Depot, and Chewy. We're a lean, fast-moving team that takes ownership seriously and grows together.

About the Role

We're hiring an Accountant who can also support general HR and administrative functions. This is a high-ownership role — you'll be the financial backbone of the business, working directly with leadership on everything from historical reconciliation to monthly reporting and margin analysis.

What You'll Do

• Reconcile historical accounting records and establish clean, accurate books

• Manage day-to-day accounting: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and vendor payments

• Own monthly financial close and reporting in Odoo (transitioning from QuickBooks — experience with either is a plus)

• Build and maintain product profitability analyses and track margin performance across our brand and SKU portfolio

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial reporting for leadership

• Assist with HR and administrative tasks: onboarding documentation, employee records, vendor coordination

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of accounting experience; product distribution or e-commerce background a plus

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Odoo (or strong willingness to learn Odoo quickly)

• Solid Excel skills; comfort with SKU-level data and margin analysis

• Experience with ERP transitions is a bonus

• Organized and proactive — able to work independently in a small-team environment

• Some HR or administrative experience is welcome
