Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Tech to our team to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• MRI advanced level certification and state licensure
• 2 years' experience as an MRI Tech
• BLS certification
• Registered in MRI with ARRT (MR)
• 2 years minimum in a hospital setting
• Experience with GE MRI and Medtronic pacemaker machines
• Experience with high acuity patients, pacemakers, and anesthesia cases

Assignment Details:

• Schedule options include 3x12s or 4x10s
• Weekend coverage required
• Overnight call required after shift end until 7am
• Two Sunday 24-hour call rotations per month required
• Holiday call coverage required
• Able to work independently at times

Location Highlights

Portsmouth, Virginia offers access to the Elizabeth River waterfront and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum, with downtown Norfolk reachable in about 15 minutes by car or ferry. Outdoor time is easy to find at Paradise Creek Nature Park and along the Portsmouth Seawall, while Virginia Beach oceanfront is about 40 minutes away.
