Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor CT scanning procedures; operate CT equipment and position patients safely, applying immobilization devices as needed.
• Administer intravenous contrast media per protocol and monitor for adverse reactions; respond to allergies and take appropriate action.
• Acquire, develop, and archive CT images for the patient’s permanent record; record studies and manage digital storage and transfer.
• Maintain image quality by following department guidelines; perform daily calibration and quality control of CT equipment.
• Assist radiologists with specialized CT procedures and review pertinent patient history to aid diagnosis.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, monitor for allergic reactions, and assist with emergency situations as needed, including CPR.

Requirements

• 2+ years of CT experience (required)
• Philips CT equipment experience (required)
• ARRT certification and BLS certification
• Traveler assignment experience (preferred)
• Ability to perform CT procedures in a hospital setting and maintain image quality per department standards
