Overview Certified Athletic Trainer - PRN - Salem Community College Location: 269 North Broadway, Suite B, Pennsville, NJ 08070 Type of Employment: PerDiem/PRN Schedule: Hours vary as needed Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00, hourly, based on years of experience NovaCare Rehabilitation is looking for passionate, highly motivated athletic trainer(s)with collegiate football experience to assist in the needs of Salem Community College and their new Football Program. This is a PRN position at Salem Community College with practice and game day needs. We offer qualified candidates the ability to develop your skills while working alongside the Head Athletic Trainer, Sports Physical Therapists and Sports Medicine Physicians in the local market. PRN Perks: Continuing Education : Free in-person and online CEUs to keep learning Career Growth : Access to a nationwide, professional support network 401(k) : Company matching 401(k) after 1,000 hours in a calendar year Diversity : Work with a variety of team sizes, patient populations, and specialties Responsibilities Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care) Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
