Professional Counselor

Professional Counselor (Part Time, Variable Shift) – Providence Portland Medical Center – HR The Professional Counselor practices in a treatment setting under clinical supervision and is dedicated to evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders. The counselor collaborates with patients and their support systems to evaluate and diagnose individuals. Responsibilities Group facilitation, safety planning, milieu management, and participation as a member of the interdisciplinary care team on an Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree – Counseling or related field. Oregon Professional Counselor License upon hire, or Oregon Professional Counselor Associate License – Oregon Board of Licensed Counselors and Therapists upon hire. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of Master’s level practicum in a behavioral health setting through an accredited college or university internship. Additional experience in a substance use treatment setting. Pay Range $36.99 – $57.44 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Benefits Retirement 401(k) with employer matching.
