Treatment Plant TechnicianLocated at the Greentree Landfill in our Centralized Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 635 Toby Rd, Kersey, PA 15846, we seek a Treatment Plant Technician who will be responsible for helping to operate and maintain the facility. The facility is a biological and chemical treatment facility. The individual fulfilling this role must be flexible to work alone or with coworkers and be willing to learn and complete several tasks. A maintenance background is a plus. We are seeking an applicant to work 4 to 5 days per week 8 to 10 hours per shift. The facility is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. We are looking for a day shift and a night shift position. This position will include training in both operations, maintenance and some basic laboratory work in our onsite lab. The duties herein are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by this position and are not to be construed to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills.Responsibilities include:Daily operations, general maintenance, operations of solids removal equipment and some general labor tasks around facilityDump and clean plate and form press, belt pressWork with other plant operators and mechanics to operate and maintain facilityMay include some tasks associated with working with customers and tracking materialsMix and track materials and chemicals needed to operate facilityFollow and enforce all required safety policies and proceduresPosition requirements:Must be a self-starter and be able to work with coworkers or alone to complete taskWilling to work 40 to 50 hours per weekLiquid waste treatment, preventive maintenance or a mechanical background a plusOther knowledge, skills & abilities desired include:Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectationsActs in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workersWorks with a sense of honesty and trustworthinessGood time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe mannerAbility to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they ariseAbility to adhere to Company policies and rulesPromotes the Company's safety standardsThis job description is not a contract and does not affect the at-will nature of your employment relationship with Noble Environmental or any of its affiliates.
