Position Summary & Details Project Courage is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Part-Time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide psychiatric and medical services in our outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. The APRN will conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage medications, support crisis intervention efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and provide clinical consultation and leadership to staff. This role includes both in-person and telehealth services and is focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Position Title: Part-Time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Schedule: 20-30 hours per week Work Location: On-site - Old Saybrook, Connecticut Compensation: Starting at $75,000 annually. Compensation is negotiable and will be determined based on education, experience, and clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically indicated. Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other team members to develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans. Provide education to clients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and medications. Participate in clinical case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and ongoing care coordination. Provide clinical consultation and supervision to staff on psychiatric and medical matters. Deliver crisis intervention services and on-call consultation as needed. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Oversee and interpret drug toxicology screens and other medically necessary evaluations. Support utilization review, quality improvement, and quality assurance activities. Assist with program development and implementation to address clients’ behavioral and physical health needs. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community providers, hospitals, and other stakeholders. Participate in agency trainings, quality management activities, professional development, and staff education initiatives. Complete required administrative tasks, including service logs, schedules, timesheets, and related documentation. Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health. Current Connecticut APRN license and board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Current CT Controlled Substance Registration (CSR). Experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Strong knowledge of psychiatric best practices, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment approaches. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation. Ability to work in an outpatient setting and travel periodically within Middlesex County for meetings and community collaboration.
