Job Title: Senior Associate, Software Engineering The Software Engineer will support the design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of new and existing Space Vehicle (SV) flight software. Use existing DevOps tools, repositories, development processes, and collaboration workflows in daily activities. Apply software engineering principles to plan, estimate, and decompose assigned work. Develop software using C++ and object-oriented design principles in an embedded Linux environment. Ensure implemented software integrates properly with the larger system baseline, including interfaces and network communications. Execute test procedures in coordination with Software Quality or other approved test oversight processes. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. 2+ years of software development experience using C/C++. ~ Experience with object-oriented design and implementation. ~ Experience with or familiarity with embedded Linux development. ~ Experience with modern software development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and version control systems such as Git. ~ Experience with network communications and software interface development. Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for test, automation, and tooling. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Experience using Linux shell commands and debugging tools. Familiarity with requirements analysis, software verification, and validation.
