Location Avera St. Luke's Hospital, United States of America Position Type & Shift Regular Work; Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays. Pay $33.50 - $48.50 per hour, dependent upon experience. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. Student loan repayment assistance. Relocation bonus available upon request. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other healthcare providers. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors, and conferring with family and friends. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patient, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills, and answering questions. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care standards, reviewing patient records, and re‑evaluating care objectives. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient care equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license. Ability to perform essential job functions, including adequate visual acuity and effective communication. Preferred 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
