Certified Surgical Technologist Opportunity

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and supporting the surgical team. This opportunity is located in Kyle, TX at a hospital and serves a busy level II trauma center with 8 operating rooms.

Minimum Qualifications

• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer date.
• One of the following surgical technologist credentials required:
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 180 days of hire or job transfer date.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years cumulative experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Minimum 3 years operating room surgical technologist experience required (client-specific requirement).
• Experience in a high-acuity surgical environment, such as a level II trauma center, preferred by client.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred by client.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in orthopedics, trauma, general/GYN, urology, and familiarity with DaVinci robotics.
• Experience in vascular and CVOR cases is a strong plus.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:45–19:15.
• Workdays: Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour days.
• On-call rotation includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Operates in an 8-OR department supporting level II trauma cases.
• Ancillary staff includes PCTs, 3 supervisors, and team leads.
• Scrub color: sky blue.
