This Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge aerostructure assemblies, starting from the piece part manufacturing. This role encompasses everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, MBOM Management, Work Instruction creation, Design for Manufacturability work, work cell optimization, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the composite and metallic structures.The right person for this role can demonstrate experience in composite part manufacturing and overall airframe assembly. This person will also demonstrate the ability to work across multiple functions (Manufacturing Operations, Airframe Design, Quality, Leadership, Supply Chain, etc) to achieve a successful manufacturing approach, flow, and build.What You'll DoWork with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building composite parts and tooling in close conjunction with design engineering releaseWrite manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, non-conformances, while also completing said work instructions, quality plans, and inspections alongside a team of technicians and inspectorsWork as a conduit between the engineering technical data packages and the technicians to ensure composite hardware and tooling are manufactured as designed/analyzedSolve manufacturing problems in schedule-driven environment under the constraints of detailed specifications and requirements to achieve the needed quality, delivered on scheduleDrive work cell design and optimization to ensure quality and efficiency targets are maintained and managedWork with the Program Managers to inform critical decision points to ensure on-time deliveryDrive RCCAs alongside the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issuesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in an engineering or technology related field2+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of composite parts and/or assembliesA genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learningAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&TProficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred)Experience with MS Office and/or project management software skillsDemonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examplesU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled dataPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, and/or energetics facilitiesExperience working within a AS9100/NADCAP accredited manufacturing facilityProficiency in TeamCenter for digital manufacturing processesComposite and Metallic Airframe assembly processesUnderstanding of CNC Machining operation and limitations – 5-axis routers, lathes, mills, etcUS Salary Range$57,000 - $112,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
