This is afull-time dental assistant position Monday–Thursday We welcome candidates withchairside assisting experienceandlight front office skills, or a willingness to learn front-desk duties. Key Responsibilities Providechairside dental assistingduring general, cosmetic, and restorative procedures Prepare and maintainsterile treatment roomsfollowing OSHA and infection control protocols Takedigital dental X-rays, intraoral photos, and digital scans (iTero experience preferred) Assist withInvisalign procedures, impressions, attachments and patient education Educate patients onoral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care Maintain accurateelectronic dental recordsusingDentrix software Support front office with light administrative tasks as needed Manage dental instruments, equipment maintenance, and inventory control Deliverexceptional patient carewith strong communication and customer service skills Qualifications & Requirements ActiveRegistered Dental Assistant (RDA) license CurrentDental X-ray Certification Coronal Polish Certification CurrentCPR/BLS Certification Experience withgeneral dentistry procedures Knowledge ofOSHA, sterilization, and infection control standards Familiarity withDentrix, Invisalign, and iTero(preferred) Strong teamwork, time management, and patient communication skills Why Join Our Practice? Long ago, he developed a special interest in encouraging children to take care of their teeth after consulting with two young patients who had never been to the dentist. Struck by their situation, Dr. Hernandez felt the strong desire to write a children’s book that would show children the benefits of dental care, and paint dentistry for what it could be – a pleasant experience. To go along with this children’s book, Dr. Hernandez also created a music CD for his young patients, on which he sings about dental related topics, further teaching children the positive side of dental care. Concerned with the appearance of his patients' smiles as well as their oral health, Dr. Hernandez also offers a number of cosmetic treatments at our Pacific Beach Smile Studio. He believes that cosmetic dentistry is highly rewarding to both the patient and to the dentist, as there is nothing like seeing a patient's confidence transformed along with his or her smile, first not wanting to smile, and then not being able to stop. Dr. Hernandez holds memberships to the American Dental Association and the San Diego Dental Association. Our dentist offers Cosmetic Dentistry, Family Dentistry, Restorations, Dental Implants, Invisalign, Veneers, Crowns, Inlays and Onlays, Teeth Whitening, Gum Disease treatment, Dental Care, Emergency Services and more.
