Salary Range: $51,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Field Service Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field.
• Execute repairs and component replacements for various machinery and systems.
• Conduct calibration and testing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during field service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial automation) or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial machinery and control systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&ID diagrams
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and industrial networking protocols
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to customer sites
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in various field environments

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
• Certifications in relevant areas like hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics.
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
