About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience preferred. License: Current and valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: Ability to manage cardiac drips without titration. Must be willing to float to other areas as needed. Description: This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, which includes every other weekend and holidays. The daily census on the unit is approximately 25 patients. You will be responsible for managing the care of adults and geriatric patients. Patient diagnoses include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, sepsis, stroke, and various respiratory conditions. You should be proficient in charting within the Epic system. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and performing phlebotomy. You will also need to manage chest tubes and use high flow nasal cannula devices. The role demands competency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing various therapeutic protocols. Additionally, wound care and specialty procedures such as ostomy care will be part of your duties. Candidates should have experience with telemetry and remote monitoring. You need to be comfortable working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services. Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to changing patient needs are essential.
