Patient Accounts Representative

The Rogosin Institute (RI) is a not for profit medical care and research organization affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and conducts research in these areas. Rogosin is recruiting for an experienced Patient Account Representative who will review all charge data, identify and resolve questions or errors before submitting to EDI clearinghouses and/or paper/electronic claims. S/he will also generate and analyze reports to identify and pursue open balances, following up with governmental and commercial insurance payers to aggressively pursue timely and proper payments, seeking assistance from/providing updates to management as appropriate, and documenting all efforts in medical records system. Qualifications: • High school graduate or GED required; Associates preferred • Must have at least two (2) years’ relevant work experience and demonstrated success in medical billing and A/R reduction. • Familiarity with payer contracts, relevant reimbursement laws and regulations. • Must be capable of identifying problems, trends, and writing appeals. • Preference will be given to candidates with dialysis billing experience. • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Interested applicants should forward an updated resume and salary requirement to: View email address on click.appcast.io .aa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
