Electronics Assembly Technician

This role involves assembling circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools and production machinery in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will follow computer-based, step-by-step instructions, perform quality checks on your work, and contribute to the production of components used across multiple fields. This position is well suited for individuals with basic computer skills and an interest in hands-on production work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
• Operate production machinery to apply solder paste and handle smaller components as part of the assembly process.
• Follow detailed, computer-based, step-by-step instructions for each assembly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Log into and navigate multiple computer programs simultaneously to access the correct assembly instructions and documentation.
• Perform quality checks on completed work before moving assemblies to the next stage in the production process.
• Use basic soldering techniques as needed to complete circuit board assemblies.
• Support general production activities, which may include picking parts, packaging finished products, and preparing items for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following established safety and production procedures.
• Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and training staff to continuously improve skills and meet production goals.
• Provide basic customer-focused support when needed, drawing on prior customer service experience to communicate clearly and professionally.

Essential Skills

• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches in a production environment.
• Basic proficiency with computers, including the ability to log into multiple programs and follow on-screen instructions.
• Capability to follow detailed, step-by-step instructions accurately and consistently.
• Comfort working with production machinery to apply solder paste and handle small components.
• Basic soldering skills to support circuit board assembly tasks.
• Attention to detail and the ability to perform quality checks on completed work.
• General production experience, including tasks such as assembly, picking, and packaging.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a production setting.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work with training staff, leads, and supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Approximately 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• 12 years of soldering experience can lead to higher starting pay.
• Any amount of picking and packaging experience is helpful.
• Experience in customer service roles is beneficial and often translates well to this environment.
• Comfort working in an entry-level production role with hands-on tasks.
• Willingness to learn new tools, machinery, and processes through on-the-job training.

You will work with hand tools, production machinery, and computer-based instruction systems as part of daily operations. The environment supports multiple schedules across each shift to accommodate different needs, while maintaining a structured, safety-conscious production floor.

This is a permanent position based out of New London, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
