Medical Assistant

Description

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative, clerical, and clinical duties to ensure efficient operation of the outpatient clinic. This position provides a positive patient experience through professional reception, accurate documentation, assistance with clinical procedures, and support of patient flow between administrative and medical staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

• At least one year of medical office or patient care experience preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures

• Current BLS certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire

• Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) skills
