A multidisciplinary team comprised of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, licensed counselors, nursing staff, and Peer Recovery Specialists collaborates to deliver integrated care. VICTA partners with each individual to develop a personalized recovery plan that supports their unique recovery goals and pathways. Role Description The APP Psychiatric Provider is responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management services within an integrated care setting that combines substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, mental health services, and ambulatory medical care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the provider collaborates closely with physicians, therapists, nurses, care coordinators, case managers, and substance use counselors to support whole-person care and improve patient outcomes. The provider evaluates and treats individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders across a broad range of clinical presentations, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, and addiction-related conditions. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and participating in ongoing care coordination. The APP promotes evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practices while addressing the behavioral, physical, and social determinants of health that impact patient well-being. The position requires strong clinical judgment, effective interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to serving diverse and often medically complex populations. Qualifications Expertise in Psychiatry and Mental Health, with demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of behavioral health conditions. Foundational knowledge of Medicine as it relates to psychopharmacology, co-occurring medical conditions, and integrated primary and behavioral healthcare. Current licensure and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner in Rhode Island, with prescriptive authority or eligibility. Experience in addiction psychiatry or working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions is strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr VICTA
