Custodian PositionThe Custodian provides a clean and safe learning environment while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and efficiency. The Custodian reports directly to the Custodial Supervisor.Qualifications:Graduation from high school, technical school, or comparable experienceWorking knowledge of the methods, tools, mechanical equipment and techniques used in custodial workWorking knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions and fire and sanitation codesAbility to understand and carry out oral and written directions in EnglishSalary and Benefits:Salary established by the Board of Education and PSRP agreement. Hourly rate of pay for 2026-27 is $22.53. Custodians work 8.0 hours per day (7.5 paid hours and 0.5 unpaid lunch). The work year includes 244 days plus 16 paid holidays for a total of 260 paid days (1,950 paid hours per year). Work hours for this position are 6:30am-2:30pm. The Board of Education will pay 100% of the premium cost of Employee Only HMO coverage and 70% of the HMO premium for dependent coverage (Family, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Children).
