Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Pulmonary/Thoracic unit requiring an active GA or compact RN license and strong ventilator experience.

Details

• Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic unit of a hospital setting
• AM shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• 30-minute meal breaks scheduled during shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for documentation

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS certification required (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required
• Strong tele interpretation skills required
• Strong ventilator management experience required
• Experience with tracheostomy and chest tube care required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and nursing care for pulmonary and thoracic patients
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not on or near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday
• Only one holiday time-off request is permitted per assignment
• Requested time off during the holidays must be spread out rather than consecutive
