About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical (Post-Surgical: Urology, Bariatric) Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required License: KS or Multistate license required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience - Ability to float to other post-surgical and med-surg inpatient floors Description: The position involves caring for post-operative patients following surgical procedures. Staffing ratios are 1:6, ensuring optimal patient care. The unit accommodates 28 beds dedicated to various surgical interventions. Nurses will engage in clinical expertise and collaborative teamwork. Progressive care or step-down experience is considered a bonus. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is preferred, with a test-out option available. A commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement is essential. The culture promotes professionalism and teamwork, valuing every team member's contribution. Vaccination documentation for Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDaP, and Influenza is required. Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive or inappropriate.
