Respiratory Care Specialist
Location: Richmond, VA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Respiratory Care Specialist will provide expert care in the Respiratory Care unit of a Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting patients with various respiratory conditions. The role involves utilizing advanced medical equipment including PB980 vents, V60 NIV, and F&P high flow devices while adhering to the Meditech documentation system.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in critical conditions.
- Perform bedside bronchoscopy and other respiratory procedures.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
- Ensure equipment functionality and proper maintenance of respiratory devices.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Virginia licensure to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- RRT credentialed by NBRC.
- Critical care experience is essential.
